Edinburgh
Blythe E. Burdine, 81, of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away on February 24, 2017, at Franklin Meadows in Franklin, Indiana. She was born on December 6, 1935, in Dykes, Kentucky. She was the daughter of William G. and Virginia (Bray) Goodin. She married Beecher B. Burdine Jr. on July 7, 1952. He preceded her in death on August 28, 1996.
She is survived by sons, Dwight L. (Darlene) Burdine of Edinburgh, Indiana and William B. Burdine of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughters, Rhonda C. (Jeff) Simpson of Edinburgh, Indiana and Janet D. (Billy Joe) Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana; brothers, Paul Goodin of Kentucky, Johnny Goodin of Kentucky, Lonny Goodin of Kentucky, Robert Goodin of Hayes, Kansas and Wade Goodin of Taylorsville, Indiana; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, James Goodin; and sister, Elva Fitzpatrick.
She retired from David R. Webb Company. She enjoyed time with her family, reading, crocheting and trips to the Smoky Mountains.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017, by the Reverend Terry England at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 24. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
