University of Findlay Dean’s List
Joni Montgomery, Columbus, made the 2016 fall semester dean’s list for the University of Findlay (Ohio).
To earn this achievement, a student must attain a grade-point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Columbus pair graduate from Central Missouri
Bharat Patchigolla and Venkata Dheeraj Dandu, both of Columbus, graduated from the University of Central Missouri in December. Each graduated with a Master of Science degree.
Data Privacy Day
IUPUC hosted a Data Privacy Day event to help teach the public how to stay safe online.
The Office of Women’s Studies, Office of Student Research and the Feminism and Spectrum clubs at IUPUC sponsored the Data Privacy Day (DPD) presentation Jan. 25 at the Columbus Learning Center. Information such as handouts, pamphlets and T-shirts detailing ways to stay safe when using the internet were available to the public.
IUPUC was registered the with DPD, adding the university to the list of international data champions, an IUPUC news release said. IUPUC is dedicated to respecting individual privacy, safeguarding data and enabling user trust, the school said.
