Reba E. McIlwain, 91, of Columbus, died Monday, March 6, 2017, at Silver Oaks Health Campus of Columbus.
Mrs. McIlwain was born July 18, 1925, in Adair County, Kentucky, the daughter of Joseph C. and Amanda Clayburn Goodin. She married Ralph Duvall; he preceded her in death in 1967. She married James A. McIlwain July 21, 1968; he preceded her in death Feb. 13, 1993.
Reba attended The Ridge and was a foster grandparent. She loved her family and was an avid reader of her Bible. Several years ago she worked for Hampton Manufacturing and Arvin Industries.
She is survived by sons, Donald (Cindy) Duvall of Columbus and Michael (Leann) Duvall of Columbus; daughters, Karen (Tim) Cundiff of Mesquite, Texas, Sandy (Denny) Kroger of Westport, Bonnie (Michael) Chadwell of Columbus and Penny Duvall of McCordsville; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Pastor Jerry K. Day Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday. Burial will be in Garland Brook Cemetery.
