I’m not a great ice skater. Actually, to suggest that I am even a mediocre ice skater would be putting it generously. Maybe the luck of the Irish will be with me as I head to the Hamilton Community Center and Ice Arena, 2501 Lincoln Park Drive, for the Shamrock Skate, 1 to 3 p.m. Friday.
Meet the author of the children’s book “Emma’s Dancing Day,” Kimberly Hoffman, at the Elizabethtown Children’s Library, 100 West St., Elizabethtown, 5 to 6 p.m. March 29. Hoffman will read her book, talk about overcoming obstacles, conduct an interactive dance demonstration and give away two prize packages.
