Jonesville
Olive Marie Clampitt, 76, of Jonesville, died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017, at her residence, surrounded by family.
Olive loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and especially yellow roses. She also enjoyed traveling and sitting by the campfires with her husband of over 58 years, Jim. They have been members of the Jonesville Christian Church for over 50 years.
Mrs. Clampitt was born Aug. 26, 1940, in Washington County to the late Emmett and Edith Geffs Dean.
She married James A. Clampitt on June 28, 1958.
Survivors include her husband, James; children, Lartricia (Jeff) Metz of Columbus, William (Rebecca) Clampitt of Charlotte, Michigan and Paul (Amy) Clampitt of Columbus; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Victor (Jane) Dean of Crothersville and Marvin (Barbara) Dean of Bartholomew County; sister, Emma Leeder of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at noon Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at the Jonesville Christian Church with Stan Thomas officiating. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jonesville Christian Church or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
