Martha Jane Russell-Moore, 99, of Columbus, died at 1:29 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Silver Oaks Health Campus.

Martha was born Nov. 1, 1917, in Crab Orchard, Kentucky, the daughter of John and Maggie Baker Goins. She married Glenn P. Russell June 25, 1938, in Columbus; he preceded her in death Sept. 14, 1992. She married William Moore Aug. 8, 1995; he preceded her in death Aug. 25, 2008 . She retired as a senior nurse’s aid in 1987 from Columbus Regional Hospital. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include son, William P. (Nan) Russell of Columbus; daughters, Vickie (Jad) Nentrup and Glenna (Gene) Brown, both of Columbus; brother, Charles (Pat) Goins of Lake Placid, Florida; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents; husbands; son, James H. Kirts; sisters, Delphine Rivenberg, Rosemary Ahrmann, Nancy Bennett, Cindy Gordon and Elizabeth Cordivas; brothers, John, Frank, David and Elmer Goins.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl Street with Dan Wallace officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time. Entombment will be in Garland Brook Mausoleum.
