Susan G. Komen Central Indiana is providing a grant to Columbus Regional Health.
The local hospital system is among five receiving grants for Continuum of Care navigation programs for mammography. The grant money is going to the Mammography Assistance Program Nurse Navigator, the Komen organization announced.
Navigators funded through the Continuum of Care Navigation Program will lead breast cancer patients to services tailored to individual needs, including services in transportation, nutrition, child care, interpreter services, treatment assistance and psychosocial support.
Susan G. Komen Central Indiana works in Indiana to improve outcomes for people facing breast cancer throughout 41 counties in central Indiana.
