Wanda Kay Miller, 69, of Columbus, passed away at 8:12 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. She was born September 19, 1947, in Edinburgh to the late Moses J. and Dorothy Mae (Chandler) Lain. She married Robert D. Miller December 17, 1965, and he preceded her in death in 1989.

Wanda was a cook at the Hoosier Kitchen in Taylorsville and loved flea markets, playing bingo, cooking and traveling to Texas and Alabama.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammy (Lindley) Miller-King of Franklin, Letta (Glen) Meredith of Columbus and Wanda Miller of Seymour; her sons, Don (Penny) Miller, Anthony (Windee) Miller and Rick Miller, all of Columbus, John Miller of Elizabethtown and Bobby Miller of Indianapolis; her sisters, Sue Davis of Buffalo, Texas, Marjorie Robinson of Taylorsville and Pauline (Jerry) Sutherlin of Columbus; a brother, Robert (Linda) Lain of Edinburgh; 24 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Judy Petro; sisters, Bonnie James, Marilyn Diane Meyers, Rosa Mary Kelsey and Melody Cully; a brother, Charles Lain; and a grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Lewis Rice and the Rev. Dale Lucas officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest beside her husband in Bethel Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home.
