The public is invited to a reception in honor of Mike Eastman, who is retiring as the Jennings County veterans service officer, from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday in the Auditor’s Office in the Jennings County Government Center, across from the courthouse on Brown Street in Vernon. Ice cream and soft drinks will be served.
