Toddler mistakenly dials 911 — leading to mother’s arrest on warrant

A toddler who mistakenly dialed 911 led to the child’s mother being arrested on a Bartholomew County warrant.

Columbus Police were sent to the 2200 block of Sims Court at about noon Sunday when officers were told it appeared a child was playing with a telephone in an apartment there, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

Dispatchers also told the officers that a Bartholomew Superior Court 2 warrant was pending for the resident of the apartment, Paris M. Mann, 29, Columbus, Harris said.

Officers arrested Mann on the warrant and the child remained in the care of another family member, police said.
