Wyvonna G. Jones, 84, of Columbus, died Friday, April 28, 2017, at her home.

Mrs. Jones was born Aug. 31, 1932, in Reeds, North Carolina, the daughter of Arvial J. and Vettus V. Koontz Myers.

Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and a member of a Moose Lodge in Indianapolis. She was an avid puzzle builder and her great-granddaughter was her world.

Survivors include her children, Walter (Rita) Jones III of Indianapolis, Michael (Wally) Jones of Clearwater, Florida, Terri Jones of Columbus and Mark (Vicky) Jones of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Amber Wyvonna (Dalton) Hadley of Ogilville and James Arvil Jones, Josh (Emiko) Sparks, Sarah (Jeremy) Blake and Mark A. Jones, all of Indianapolis; great-grandchildren, Mia, Jamie, James, Aaron, Gavin, Alexis, Pierce and Mira; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter F. Jones Jr.; sisters, Charlotte Yarborough and Verna Myers; and brothers, Robert, Lavonne and John Myers.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Jim Pursley officiating. Family and friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until service time Wednesday. Cremation is planned following the service.
