The southbound lanes of Interstate 65 near the 76 mile marker are backed up because of an accident involving several vehicles.
There are a number of vehicles off the interstate in the median between mile markers 70 and 72 in the southbound lanes, police said.
Motorists are asked to avoid the areas if possible.
