A new donut shop in Columbus will host a grand opening Thursday.
Donut Central, located at 1504 Central Ave., will kick off with a ribbon cutting by the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce and Mayor Jim Lienhoop. The celebration will last through National Donut Day, June 2, with giveaways and specials.
The owners of the shop, which opened March 28, are Norma McLeod, his daughter Marlena Brunni and family friend Christine Griggs. Donut Central offers a variety of specialty donuts, including the Nutella Bismark, Maple Bacon and Cinnamon Nut Roll. They also offer a flavor of the week, as well as yogurt parfaits, Tinker coffee and Nitro Cold Brew coffee.
Donut Central is open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
