Bull Dogs down Pirates

GREENSBURG — Bryce Turner, Matt Vorndran and Spencer Fairbanks all shot 2-over-par 37 on Monday to tie for medalist honors and lead Columbus North to a 149-174 win against Greensburg at Greensburg Country Club.

Drew Smith carded a 38 for the Bull Dogs. Reece Moore added a 41, Henry Kiel and Zachary Schiavello each shot 44 and Jackson Kerber had a 48.

Panthers take seventh

JEFFERSONVILLE — Jennings County finished seventh with a 351 in the Hoosier Hills Conference Tournament, which was suspended Saturday and completed Monday.

Bryce Kirchner led the Panthers with an 82. Austin Roscoe carded an 86, Adam Leach added a 91, Justin Gasper shot 92 and Hunter Conrad had a 112.

Columbus East, which completed all of its rounds on Saturday, finished fifth with a 326.

Jackets top Lancers

SHELBYVILLE — Morristown scored a 193-229 win against Edinburgh at Bear Chase.

Bladen Hancock led the Lancers with a 48. Brayden McManaway carded a 57, Gavin Hancock added a 60, Kegan Jones shot 64 and Christian Cox had a 68.

Cougars blank Eagles

NASHVILLE — Brown County was held to one hit in an 18-0 five-inning loss to Bloomington North.

Tristan Richards had the hit for the Eagles (5-19).

Jets fall to Saints

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Lutheran limited Class A No. 3 Hauser to three hits in handing the Jets a 4-2 loss to end the regular season.

Jacob Luken had a double for the Jets (16-7).

Panthers rout Stars

FLOYDS KNOBS — Jennings County scored twice in the first and broke it open in Amanda Bonesteel’s grand slam in the second and went on to post an 11-0, six-inning win against the host Stars in the first round of the Bedford North Lawrence Sectional.

Olivia Vanosdol and Madi Skinner each went 3 for 4 for the Panthers (19-7). Mackenzie Byram went 2 for 3 with a triple, Tesla Kopitzke went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and Bonesteel, Gabby Mahoney and Lexi South all went 2 for 4.

Mahoney threw a four-hitter for Jennings, which plays Seymour in today’s semifinals.

Eagles topple Patriots

SULLIVAN — Brown County downed Owen Valley 11-1 in the opening round of the Sullivan Sectional.

The Eagles (15-6) advance to face Edgewood in today’s semifinals.

Trinity moves to final

CAMPBELLSBURG — Trinity Lutheran moved into today’s West Washington Sectional final with a 9-6 win against the host Senators.

Amanda Wright had three hits, while Savannah Harweger, Jaryn Holtsclaw and Jodi Goecker all added two for the Cougars (13-5). Vidalis Montanez and Wright each had two RBIs.
