RISING SUN — Class A No. 3 Hauser led only 3-0 after three innings but scored five times in the fourth and went on to hand South Decatur a 10-0, five-inning loss in the semifinals of the Rising Sun Sectional.
Tessa Sims went 3 for 3 with two doubles and two RBIs and struck out eight of the nine batters she faced to begin the game for the Jets (23-3). She combined with Hunter Crain on a two-hitter.
Lauryn Starnes went 2 for 2, and Hailey Lange went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs for Hauser. Nichole Paetzel had two RBIs.
