Mr. Louis E. Bobb, 75, of Seymour, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.

Mr. Bobb was born in Seymour on June 7, 1941, at home on the farm where he still lived and worked at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Earl Harry and Hilda (Siefker) Bobb. He was a 1959 graduate of Shields High School and a 1963 graduate of Purdue.

Louis loved his family and his farm heritage and raising cattle there.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and a former member of the Jackson County Extension Board, Girls’ Inc. Board, Seymour FFA Advisory Committee, chairman of the the Past Drive Committee of the United Fund, and the Cattlemen’s Association and Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. Louis retired as an Agriculture Loan Officer in 2003.

Louis married Judy Judd July 23, 1961, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; two children, Douglas Bobb and Julie Bobb (Patrick) Ballard; his grandson, Patrick DeBoor; one brother, Charles (Karen) Bobb; one sister, Elsie (David) Brooks; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Janet Bobb (Bill) Nolting.

Family and friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 26, at Voss & Sons Funeral Service and after 9:30 a.m. until time of service at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Reverend Ralph Blomenberg and the Reverend Philip Bloch officiating.

Burial will follow at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery in Jackson County.
