Sheryl “Shari” Lynn Bickell, 53, of Columbus, passed away at 2:01 p.m. May 28, 2017, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Shari was born April 2, 1964, in Swindon, England, the daughter of Richard A. and Linda Taulman Sharp. She married Aaron Wayne Bickell on July 11, 1998.
She was a 1982 graduate of Columbus East High School, where she played golf. Shari loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. What she enjoyed most of all was traveling and spending time with her husband.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2017, at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017, and one hour prior to the service Friday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shari Bickell Memorial Fund through the funeral home to help pay for funeral expenses.
Survivors include her mother; her husband; sons, Steven Brian Lee (Amber) Axsom of Columbus and Ian Alexander Lee Axsom of Columbus; daughter, Christa Niccol Townsend of Columbus; grandchildren, Kamren Michael Wayne Sharp, Elijah Xavier Daniel Goodpaster, Zarron Franklin Duane Townsend, Ajah Annalynn Townsend, Rydon James Axsom, Willow Jade Axsom, Aries Paul Fancher and Lexus Alexandria Bruner; brothers, Richard Robert Sharp of Indianapolis, John Marshall Sharp of San Antonio, Texas and Bradley Arnold Sharp of North Vernon; and a sister, Judith Ann (Jon) Tekulve of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her father.
