Dorothy J. Barrington, 87, of Hanover, died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, June 4, 2017, at King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2017, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Peter Joudry officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday from noon until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Mrs. Barrington was born April 23, 1930, in Vincennes, to the late Herschel and Isabela Throop Spurling.

Survivors include her children, Terry (Punkote-“Seang”) Bryant of Hanover, Rebecca Pace of Madison, David Bryant of Columbus, Seth Owen Moore and Taylor Marie Moore, both of Madison; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Greg (Teresa) Spurling of Clifford; sister, Beverly Boldry of Milton, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Barrington in 1993; son, Phillip Michael Bryant; daughter, Phyllis Huddleston; granddaughter, Jenny Lynch; grandson, Tomy Mothaisong; and great-grandchild, Caleb Trapp.
