Donnelly plans visit to county fair

U.S. Sen. Joe Donnelly, D-Indiana, will visit with local farmers and Hoosier agriculture leaders at the Bartholomew County Fair.

Donnelly will meet with local residents at 11:30 a.m. Monday in the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds Farm Bureau building, his staff announced.

The visit is a part of Donnelly’s Farm Bill Listening Tour, which started in January and aims to gather Hoosier farmers’ voices for what they want to see in the bipartisan Farm Bill. Donnelly will meet with members of the Farm Service Agency, Indiana Soil and Water Conservation District, county Farm Bureau members, 4-H and FFA members as a part of the tour.
