Southwestern Bartholomew Water has issued a boil-water advisory after a power outage from Tuesday morning’s strong thunderstorms.
The power outage affected a booster station on State Road 46 West serving customers on the west side of State Road 46 in the Stoney Lonesome area and all of the company’s customers in Brown County. Also affected were customers on Georgetown Road, Baker Hollow Road and the Bethany area.
The boil-water advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. Thursday. As a precaution, customers should bring water to a full boil for five minutes before consumption or use in cooking and food preparation.
