Power restored to 2,400 on Columbus west side

COLUMBUS, Indiana — About 2,400 Duke Energy electrical customers on the west side of Columbus lost power for several hours Wednesday, first reported at 5:27 p.m. Wednesday.

The outage area was south of Jonathan Moore Pike/State Road 46 West on both sides of Interstate 65.

A broken cross arm was discovered and has been repaired, with service restored, said Chip Orben, government and community relations manager for Duke in Columbus.
