East-Terra Plastics will be at the Columbus/Bartholomew County Recycling Center, 720 S. Mapleton St. in Columbus, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 17 to collect 5-gallon or smaller pesticide containers to provide farmers with a safe way to dispose of the items.
The free service is organized by East-Terra and the Columbus/Bartholomew County Recycling Center. Containers must be triple-rinsed or pressure washed and fully dried. Instructions can be found on the East-Terra website at farmplastics.org/services.
