Got heartburn? Endoscopy center is ready to help

The Endoscopy Center of Columbus Regional Health will offer screenings for people suffering from chronic heartburn, sometimes called Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease.

GERD can be triggered by multiple lifestyle habits, including eating large meals, an unhealthy diet high in carbohydrates, drinking a lot of caffeine; consuming sodas, tomato-based foods, spicy foods, onions and alcohol; and snacking before bedtime.

To learn more and fill out the free screening questionnaire, call 812-993-0638 or visit crh.org/burn. A nurse navigator at the Endoscopy Center will answer calls and review the questionnaire to determine the next course of action.
