Eagles edge Braves in season opener
NASHVILLE — Brown County opened its girls golf season Wednesday by slipping past Indian Creek 211-213 at Salt Creek.
Ashley Masteller tied for medalist honors with a 44 to lead the Eagles. Lauren Burker carded a 51, Jessica Taylor added a 55 and Allison Stogsdill had a 61.
Also for Brown County, Meghan Cassiday and Taylor Poling each shot 62. Aubrey Hollander added a 65, Meg Smith had a 66 and Courtney Hill finished with a 70.
