Northbound I-65 lane to close north of Seymour tonight

JACKSON COUNTY — The Indiana Department of Transportation will close the northbound right lane of Interstate 65 this weekend at mile marker 50 just north of the Seymour exit beginning at 9 p.m. today and continuing through 6 a.m. Monday.

The closing is the beginning of a $7 million project to build a new weigh station and inspection barn along I-65 just north of U.S. 50. The weekend’s lane closure will allow crews to remove and replace about 60 feet of concrete pavement to install the scales.
