Bob and Sheila Thompson of South Mutz Drive plan to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday in the fellowship hall at Bethel Holiness Church, 6060 U.S. 31N. The couple also planned a trip to Branson, Missouri, where they went on their honeymoon.
Mr. Thompson and the former Sheila Brown were married Aug. 19, 1967, in Overland Park, Kansas, by the Rev. Robert Thompson and Dale Yocum.
Mr. Thompson has been owner of Thompson Homes of Columbus for 44 years.
Mrs. Thompson is retired from Thompson Homes.

The couple have two children, Karen Walden and Jeffry Thompson, and five grandchildren.
