Phyllis J. Snyder, 88, of Columbus, passed from this life at 8 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2017, at her home.
Mrs. Snyder was born January 8, 1929, in Columbus, Indiana, the loving daughter of Mitchell and Nannie Snyder Wilber. She married William E. Snyder October 23, 1949.
A homemaker, Mrs. Snyder enjoyed making flower arrangements and pottery and she was an avid collector of many things.
Mrs. Snyder is survived by her children, Michael A. Turpin of Brown County, Indiana, Terry B. Snyder of Germantown, Kentucky, and Anita M. (Bob) Brown of Columbus, Indiana; grandchildren, Misty (Jerry) Dickerson, Jeff Brock, Jared (Megan) Brock, Brian Snyder, Tricia (Rodney) Merrill, Heather (Shane) Cowan, and Kelli (Levi) Miller; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Snyder was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William, January 2, 2013; a daughter, Debbie Brock; brothers, Donald K. Wilber and Billy Snyder; a half-sister, Cheryl Colford; and a half-brother, Mitchell Wayne Wilber Jr.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Wes Jones officiating.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
