BEECH GROVE
Clara G. Kirsch, 84, of Beech Grove, passed away on August 19, 2017.
She was born on January 19, 1933, in Indianapolis, IN, to the late Albert W. and Gertrude E. Illg. She graduated from I.U. with a Master’s Degree in Education. She taught for 40 years with the Indianapolis Public Schools. She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ.
Survivors include her children, Pamela (Carl “Tom”) Tomamichel, William (Becky) Kirsch, Michael (Rebecca) Kirsch, and Mary (David) Melsheimer; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Karl C. (Fran) Illg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Frederick “Fred”; and her brother, Albert W. Illg.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN.
Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
