Online applications are available for the 2018 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship, administered by the Heritage Fund — The Community Foundation of Bartholomew County and the Independent Colleges of Indiana.

Lilly scholarships provide full tuition, required fees and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and equipment for four years of undergraduate study on a full-time basis that lead to a baccalaureate degree at any accredited Indiana public or private college or university.

Two Lilly scholarships will be awarded to Bartholomew County students.

Applicants must live in Bartholomew County, plan to graduate from an accredited public or private high school by the end of June 2018, and have at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0-scale. Students graduating mid-year are eligible and an official high school transcript is required.

School involvement, community service, good character, leadership skills and financial need must be demonstrated. Finalists must be available for personal interviews with a selection committee.

Online applications are due by noon Sept. 1. All required parts of the application such as transcript, guidance information verification, completed letters of recommendation, must also be submitted by the deadline for an application to be considered complete and eligible.
