Man arrested on multiple drug charges

A local man was arrested after police saw a marijuana cigarette behind his ear.

Police were sent to the 3900 block of 25th Street at 9 a.m. Tuesday about a suspicious person looking into vehicles, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

Officer Angie Owens found Dillon J. Lane, 23, 3708 Williamsburg Court, and saw the marijuana cigarette behind his ear, Harris said. Lane was arrested and officers then found several syringes and pills in his pants pockets, Harris said.

Lane was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana, possession of a legend drug-injection device and possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, Harris said.

He is being held in lieu of $65,000 bond in the Bartholomew County Jail, officials said.
