Lawrence ‘Wray’ Muldoon

EDINBURGH

Lawrence “Wray” Muldoon, 61, of Edinburgh, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Indianapolis.

He was born March 12, 1956, in Shelbyville, the son of Russell Wayne and Alice (Benson) Muldoon. On June 14, 1986, he married Deborah Lemen, and she survives.

In addition to his wife, Wray is survived by his mother of Edinburgh; daughter, Kerri Coffey and husband, Paul, of Shelbyville; son, Eric Muldoon of Edinburgh and his longtime girlfriend, Eryn Hopper of Shelbyville; brothers, Dennis Muldoon and wife, Chris, Kevin Muldoon, and Neal Muldoon and wife, Darcy, all of Edinburgh; sister, Susan Burgett and husband, Doug, of Flat Rock; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Ruth Ann Lemen, of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Wray graduated from Southwestern High School in 1974.

He was a member of Mount Auburn Christian Church, where he had formerly served as a deacon.

Wray was a lifelong farmer and he loved to farm. In June of 2017, after 42 years of service, he retired from Sonoco Flexible Packaging in Edinburgh, where he was a press operator.

He enjoyed playing corn hole.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., in Shelbyville.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2017, at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Scott officiating.

Interment will be at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Shelby County.
