Clarion auction extends: Columbus Regional getting rid of remaining items

An auction of the remaining contents of the former Clarion Hotel and Conference Center has been extended to two days.

The public auction will be conducted this weekend on the former hotel site, 2480 W. Jonathan Moore Pike, by Earl’s Auction Company, said Kelsey DeClue, spokeswoman for Columbus Regional Health, which purchased the property in July for future use as a medical facility.

Here is the auction schedule.

Saturday: Doors open 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Auction runs from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. All purchased items must be retrieved before close.

Sunday: Doors open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Auction runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Doors close at 8 p.m.

All purchased items must be retrieved on the day of the bidding.

Prior to the building’s demolition by year’s end, Columbus Regional Health will coordinate with local law enforcement and fire and rescue departments to loan the facility for training exercises
