Boil order to follow hydrant repairs for some in Fairlawn Drive area

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Water is expected to be off for about another hour to some Columbus City Utilities customers in the Fairlawn Drive area because of repairs to a water hydrant.

Keith Reeves, the city utilities director, said 31 customers are affected. After repairs are finished, the affected customers will have to boil water until required follow-up testing is complete. Customers will be issued a boil notice that is placed on each customer’s door, he added.
