Nicholas J. Mathis, 30, of Columbus, died at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at IU Health Methodist Hospital.
Following the family’s wishes, cremation is planned. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2017, at The Ridge, 2800 Bonnell Road, Columbus, IN 47203.

Nicholas was born March 16, 1987, to Michael and Joyce Tolen Mathis in Columbus, Indiana.
Survivors include daughters, Tara Johnson and Storm Sage, and his father, Michael Mathis, all of Columbus; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Mathis, on February 27, 2017.
