Beginning at 7 a.m. Tuesday and continuing through Wednesday, Columbus City Utilities will be excavating and installing water valves at the intersection of Eighth and Franklin streets.
East/west traffic on Eighth Street will not be affected, but traffic will not be able to travel north.
City officials are asking motorists to avoid the area if possible and if you must travel there, obey maintenance of traffic signs and watch for workers.
