COLUMBUS
Audrey Cox, 78, of Washington Street, died at 5 p.m. September 25, 2017, at Brown County Health and Living.
Audrey was born December 18, 1938, in Helmsburg, the daughter of Dallas and Edna Carothers Myers.
he married Joseph Donald Cox in January of 1965. He preceded her in death June 23, 2017.
She was previously employed at Cummins Engine Co. and Century 21 Realtors.
Audrey had a lifelong love of Brown County and was always on the go, going to garage sales and auctions.
Audrey loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She also enjoyed the time she had with her cousins and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, September 29, 2017, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Patrick Galligar officiating. Calling will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Unity Cemetery in Brown County.
Memorials may be made to the Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or American Heart Association.
Survivors include her son, Joseph D. (Dana) Cox of Seymour, daughters, Janet K. (Christopher) Chapple and Joyce A. (Russell) Neville, both of Columbus; and her grandchildren, Ryan Chapple and David Neville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Joseph.
