Boys and girls sectional cross-country action will take place Saturday across the state. Most of the local teams, including Columbus East and Columbus North, will compete in the Brown County Sectional at Eagle Park.

Brown County Sectional
When: 10:30 a.m.
Where: Eagle Park, Nashville
Teams: Columbus East, Columbus North, Hauser, Brown County, Edinburgh, Trinity Lutheran, Brownstown Central, Crothersville, Indian Creek, Martinsville, Seymour, Southwestern (Shelbyville), White River Valley
Southwestern (Hanover) Sectional
When: 10:30 a.m.
Where: Hanover College XC Course
Teams: Jennings County, Austin, Charlestown, Henryville, Madison Consolidated, New Washington, Scottsburg, Shawe Memorial, Silver Creek, Southwestern (Hanover), Switzerland County
South Dearborn Sectional
When: 2 p.m.
Where: South Dearborn High School, Aurora
Teams: South Decatur, Batesville, East Central, Greensburg, Jac-Cen-Del, Milan, North Decatur, Oldenburg Academy, Rising Sun, South Dearborn, South Ripley
Advancement
The top five teams from each sectional, plus the top 10 individuals from non-qualifying teams, will advance to the regional round Oct. 14. Runners from the Brown County and Jennings County sectionals qualify for the Brown County Regional, and runners from the South Dearborn Sectional advance to the Shelbyville Regional.
Sectional admission is $5 per person.
