Talks continue on coach discipline

Discussions among a group of top Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. administrators will continue today regarding disciplinary steps against two Columbus North football coaches involved in an Oct. 13 sidelines scuffle.

During a meeting Thursday, administrators planned to examine photographs of the physical altercation between head football coach Tim Bless and assistant coach Aaron Karrer and determine whether initial disciplinary steps were appropriate, Superintendent Jim Roberts said.

Conversations about the matter will continue today, Roberts said.

Initial punishment taken by the school district, before the existence of photographs of the altercation were known, called for Bless and offensive line coach Karrer to be suspended for the team’s next game, the Oct. 27 sectional tournament opener. Bless also was suspended from football team activities this week.
