MORGANTOWN
Betty L. Davis, 82, of Morgantown, passed away at 1:37 p.m. October 23, 2017 at IU Methodist Hospital.
Betty was born, March 21, 1935 in Brownstown, a daughter of the late Cecil Taylor and Alley King Taylor.
She was married to Clarence Davis who preceded her in death in 2002.
Betty retired from United Technology after 27 years of service and was of the Baptist faith.
A memorial visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Per Betty’s wishes, cremation was chosen.
Betty is survived by three sons, Ritchie Davis of Port Richey, Florida, Gary Davis of New Port Richey, Florida and Martin Davis of Columbus, one daughter. Ruby Wootton of Morgantown; 14 grandchildren; Crystal Davis, Alex Davis, Tyler Davis, Blair Davis, Bianca Davis, April Daugherty, Stephanie Elkins, Erich Lee, Jessica Davis, Jasmine Lee, Kelsey Wootton, Marty Davis, Amber Smith, Abbigail Rankin; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Ann Rowland of Columbus.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Timothy Davis and Raymond Davis; brothers, Robert Taylor, Jack Taylor and Gene Taylor, sisters, Charlotte Taylor, Rene Simmons, Mary Hughes and Donna Peebles.
