Eunice A. Weidman

COLUMBUS

Eunice A. Weidman, 98, of Columbus died 1:30 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2017 at her home.

Eunice was born in West Baden, Indiana October 14, 1919, the daughter of John and Mahala Hopper Dorsett.

She married Paul L. Weidman November 28, 1940 in French Lick, Indiana; he preceded her in death November 7, 1985.

During World War II, she worked for Reeves Pulley, but the majority of her life was spent as a loving mother.

She was a member of Central Wesleyan Church.

She loved to sew, flower garden, hunt for mushrooms, her grandchildren and hummingbirds.

Mrs. Weidman is survived by children, Victor Weidman of New Albany, Indiana, John (Stacy Caldwell) Weidman of Columbus, Jeffrey (Bonnie) Weidman of Bedford, Indiana, Micki (Ron) Hoskins of Nashville, Indiana, Susan (Ken) Stone of Bloomington and Melody Wallace of Columbus; brother, John (Brenda) Dorsett of Bloomington, Indiana; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband; daughter, Karen Myrick; seven brothers; and two sisters.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday Hathaway~Myers Chapel on Pearl Street with the Revs. Gordon Tilley and Matt Price officiating. Calling from noon Thursday to the service time. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
