Following up on a tip from the public, officers were checking the Taylorsville area at 6 p.m. Wednesday looking for a stolen 1968 Chevy Chevelle.
Officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop and arrested Dustin M. Freese, 33, Columbus, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
