COLUMBUS
David T. Richardson, 73, of Columbus, passed from this life at 7:18 am Friday, October 27, 2017 at Keepsake Village of Columbus.
Mr. Richardson retired in 1998 as Master Trooper from The Indiana State Police where he had served for 33 years.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and he attended St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mark Teike officiating.
Family and friends may call from 12:30 p.m. to time of service Monday at the church.
Honor guard will be provided by The Indiana State Police Honor Guard.
Cremation will take place following the service. Private inurnment will be at a later date at Garland Brook Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

David was born December 13, 1943 in Rushville. He was the son of Fred and Bernice Corn Richardson.
He married Donna Allen on February 1, 1964.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years; their sons, Joe (Brenda) Richardson and Mike (Suzy) Richardson, both of Columbus; grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) Frankel, Drew Richardson, Sam Richardson, Michaela Richardson, Isaac Richardson and Katherine Richardson; a sister, Patty (Phil) Simmermon of Rushville; and a brother, Steve (Carol) Richardson of Hope.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard Richardson; and sisters, Leona Bowles and Frances Ward.
