Have some Halloween fun in Brown County

Halloween is today, which means lots of kids — and adults — dressed in costumes of ghouls, ghosts, superheroes or other popular characters having fun and looking for candy. Here are some traditional and non-traditional options to consider.

Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade: Register at the Brown County Health & Living Center at 4 p.m. Parade at 4:30 through the living center and parking lots of Willow Manor and Hawthorne Hills. Watch from Hawthorne Hills sidewalk. Cost is $20 per dog, fundraiser for Kids on Wheels skate park. Information: 812-929-0596.

Salt Creek Trick-or-Treat Trail: Walk a paved, three-quarter-mile trail from Brown County YMCA to Nashville CVS, 5 to 7 p.m. Free shuttle back to the Y from CVS. Information: 812-988-9622.
