Martha S. Broady, 83, of Hope, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at a family residence.

Before retirement, Martha worked as a factory worker at Onkyo.

She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church for over 70 years. She was also a member of Kill Kare Klub, Phi Beta Psi sorority and Order of Eastern Star.

She was part of the Hope High School class of 1952.

Martha enjoyed bowling, playing cards, boating, fishing and traveling.

Born on December 8, 1933 in Hope, Martha was the daughter of Carl and Ethel Essex Kissling. She married Warren Broady on July 1, 1955 and he preceded her in death on March 24, 2013.

Survivors include children, Damon (Karen) Broady of Hope and Amy (Andrew) Wisdom of Mountain Top, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Abby and Annaliis Wisdom, both of Mountain Top, Pennsylvania , Josh (Kelsey) Siegel of Washington, Indiana, and Haley Siegel of Indianapolis; great-grandson, Hunter Siegel of Washington, Indiana; and sisters, Mary Grace Miller and Esther (Dale) Dailey, both of Hope.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sister, Ruth Ziegler, and brothers, David and Glenn Kissling.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Hope United Methodist Church with Pastor Ed Cottrell officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will follow at Hope Moravian Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Hope United Methodist Church or American Cancer Society.
