Ruth E. Stout, 91, of Parkside Court, died at 7:20 p.m. November 15, 2017, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Ruth was born October 18, 1926, in Azalia, the daughter of Lloyd H. and Jeanette Parker Davis.
She married Thomas I. Stout and he preceded her in death May 8, 1996.
She retired from Cosco after 31 years of service.
Ruth was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2017, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Blystone officiating. Calling will be from 1p.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Survivors include her son, Lawrence D. “Larry” (Janet) French of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Lindsey (Jeffrey) Jones and Loren (Suzanne) French, both of Indianapolis; and great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Logan and Izabella Jones, and Lilly and Brecken French.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas; a stepbrother, John Franklin Merritt; and a sister, Phyllis Murley.
