Letter: Prepare for judgement by accepting Jesus as your lord, savior

What is history? History is a story of a man, woman or nation – a systematic written account.

I’m presenting a man from the New Testament. His name is Jesus. It has been said that Jesus is the center and heart of the Bible, the center and heart of our lives. Our souls rest in His hands. Our acceptance or rejection of him determines heaven or hell. The highest privilege you may ever have is to determine in your heart what you will do with Jesus.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Wise men saw his star and came from the East to Jerusalem asking, “Where is the King of the Jews?” Some say the wise men traveled thousands of miles to see the Messiah. Others say they came from different countries representing all of the world. The wise men followed the star. They found Jesus! They came bearing gifts – gold for royalty, frankincense for deity and myrrh, a spice to anoint a body for burial. They worshiped Jesus.

Jesus grew and taught multitudes. He proclaimed he was the way, the truth and the life. No one came unto the father but by him.

God sent Jesus to die on the cross, shedding his blood to cover everyone’s sins.

What could we do? Peter answered that: “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

Have you accepted Jesus as your lord and savior? Don’t put it off. Eternity is a very long time to be punished forever in hell.

Finally, are you ready for the greatest event in the history of the world? The earth begins to shake. Trumpets sound. A shout can be heard around the world. Christ is returning to Earth.

“Heaven opens and behold a white horse and He that sat on it was called Faithful and True, eyes ablaze wearing many crowns, and a vesture dipped in blood, named The Word of God! Armies from Heaven followed Him on white horses!” (Revelation 19:11-14).

Is this the culmination of human history? Is this God’s redemption plan? Is Jesus returning for his bride – the church – faithful believers of all times?

Are you preparing to be with Jesus and God in all their glory in the incomparable, indescribable sights and wonders of heaven?

My wish for everyone is to be his child. When you are you become a child of the king. You are now royalty.

Oh, great God almighty. Help us to be prepared for that final judgment day.
