COLUMBUS
Richard L. “Rick” Clark, 58, of Columbus, passed from this life at 6:05 a.m. Friday, December 15, 2017 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Rick was born May 4, 1959, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of James W. and JoAnne Ellegood Clark.
He married Karen L. Moore August 11, 1990. She preceded him in death April 22, 2002.
Rick had been a crane and heavy equipment operator for HRC Roofing for over 20 years and was most recently a truck driver for Central Trucking Incorporated out of Edinburgh, Indiana.
He was a member of the Indiana Roofers Union.
Rick cherished the time he spent with his grandkids and family and he loved his dogs. An outdoorsman, Rick enjoyed fishing, camping, repairing minibikes, cars, and racing.
Rick is survived by his mother and stepfather, JoAnne and Jerry Hon of Florence, Indiana; his daughters, Heather Harden, Carrie Clark, and Kelly Clark, all of Columbus, Indiana; grandchildren, Krew Flickinger, Aubree Adams, and Meila Chadwell, all of Columbus, Indiana; a sister, Angie Westerfield of Columbus, Indiana; stepbrothers, Barry (Lorie) Hon, Dan (Jennifer) Hon, and Tim Hon, all of Florence, Indiana; a stepsister, Kim Hon of Florence, Indiana; nephews, Logan (Courtney) Westerfield of Hope, Indiana and Nick Westerfield of Columbus, Indiana; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, James; and his wife, Karen.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with members of the family officiating.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
