Wylda G. Beshear, 96, of Columbus, died 1:18 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Wylda was born September 16, 1921, in Jackson County, the daughter of Charles and Nelle Tobrocke Braden. She married Kenneth H. Beshear December 25, 1941, in Columbus. He preceded her in death November 5, 1997. She was a former bookkeeper at Vernco.
She was a member of First Christian Church, Garden Club and Fideles Club. An avid sports fan, she loved to watch all sports, especially baseball and football. She also loved to arrange flowers.
She is survived by a daughter, Lynda Kaye (Frank) Klein of Maineville, Ohio.
Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday at Hathaway~Myers Chapel on Pearl Street. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Garland Brook Cemetery.
