Jets break even at Greenfield-Central invite

Greenfield—Hauser split both of its games Thursday at the Greenfield-Central Classic.

The Jets lost 66-29 to Winchester. Sarah Tedder led Hauser with 12 points.

Lauryn Starnes led the Jets with 18 points in the 68-47 win against Indianapolis Herron. Tedder added nine.

Jennings County gets win against Geurin Catholic

BROOKVILLE— Jennings County beat Geurin Catholic 37-35 in the Franklin County Tournament on Thursday.

Callie Wilder scored a game-high 15 points while Maddie Skinner helped with nine.

Brown County bounces back for solid win

BROWN COUNTY— Brown County lost its first game of the Brown County tournament 62-45 against South Central, but bounced back with a 45-29 win against Hagerstown.

Dasia Wilkderson and Gracie Matlock both scored 11 points against South Central.

Matlock also scored 11 points against Hagerstown as did Aubrey Hollander.

Jennings County finishes 7th in Holiday Classic

MOORESVILLE— Jennings County’s Dalton Craig won both of his matches Thursday become the champion of the Mooresville Holiday Classic at 132 pounds.

The Panthers finished 7th out of 25 teams with 137.5 points. Yorktown took first with 223.5 points. Jennings County had three other third-place finishes and two sixth places.

Victor Antunez (120), Brooks Wathen (152) and Zane Beineke (170) all won two of their three matches to finish third. Teagan Johnson (106) and Joey Moran (138) both placed sixth.

East wrestler goes undefeated in Classic

SCOTTSBURG— Columbus East won two of its five matches in the Scottsburg Warrior Classic.

The Olympians beat Providence 54-14 and North Harrison 39-30. They lost 60-12 to Milan, 51-21 to Greencastle and 58-12 to Southport.

Josh Schroer won all three of his matches at 106 pounds. Jacob Box (126) finished 4-1 and Wyatt Albertson (152) finished 3-2.
