INDOT has full call-out for plow trucks as snow approaches

Indiana Department of Transportation’s Southeast District said it will have a full call-out of plow trucks from subdistrict facilities at Bloomington, Columbus and Aurora beginning at noon today in anticipation of 3 to 4 inches of snow forecast for central Indiana late today into Saturday. Lesser affected subdistricts at Madison and Falls City will have partial call-outs to put plow trucks on patrol.

A shift change is scheduled to occur at midnight.

INDOT’s Southeast District—from south of Indianapolis to north and west of Louisville to west of Cincinnati—is equipped with 160 plow trucks and several tow plows.  A full staff of mechanics are manning subdistrict garages during the snow event, INDOT said.
